Do you have a fundraising idea? A project in mind maybe? The British Red Cross are launching a new project for groups of young people across the country. It’s a fantastic opportunity for participants to organise their own fundraising projects, while building on their skills and making a real difference to the lives of people in crisis. Hundred 2 Hundreds is open to groups of young people aged 15 to 25. The scheme encourages groups to apply for £100 which they can spend on a fundraising project to support the humanitarian work of the British Red Cross. This will not only raise vital funds for the Red Cross but will also give young people the chance to take an active part in fundraising from conception to completion. Projects will be young people led; and our fundraiser will be available to provide advice, support and encouragement for the project to be a success. The British Red Cross is active within your community providing emergency response services and providing care for vulnerable members of the community. We are more than happy to send a speaker or more information to explain the work of the Red Cross in your local community. It is also adaptable to the requirements of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Hundreds 2 Hundreds can be used for the Volunteering section of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, in its entirety. Contact Jules Arrowsmith on 01745 828358 or email jarrowsmith@redcross.org.uk for more information. You can also visit www.redcross.org.uk/hundred2hundreds.
